Three workshops – take 1, 2 or all 3.
1st Class 1pm – 2:30pm is basic tango concepts for jivers and how to extend the mambo walk and apply fun variations with confidence. Suitable for zero tango experience dancers.
2nd Class 3:00pm – 4:15pm. Adding a variety of arm patterns to tango to transition to jive and reverse hold dancing. + variations for musicality. Suitable for jivers and tango dancers.
3rd Class 4:45pm – 6pm. More gateway moves, breaking and remaking the embrace dynamically and funky finishes
£10 per class or £25 for all 3 classes per person.

Your teachers are Kate Hargreaves and Wayne Rozier.
Kate is uniquely placed to teach a fusion of tango and modern jive having danced, performed and taught both in the UK and abroad. She has had the privilege to work with top talent international and UK dancers in mj, tango and contemporary dance. She has worked in theatre, tv, and taught at dance weekenders and corporate venues. A prize winner of mj competitions at open level. Having danced all her life she enjoys sharing her passion for dance and enabling others to unlock their potential for more style, musicality, connection and fun on the dance floor.
Wayne is just a DJ who likes to mess about with Jive and Tango but he’s also keen to share some fusion concepts with you (under Kate’s watchful gaze!).

We will rotate partners during the day but feel free to go back to your base partner at any time.
